Trevor's Thoughts on Fly Fishing

“ Fly fishing is a continuous learning process. It cannot, therefore, be a parade ground for the ego. In my early days, those who taught me the basics were gentlemen who lived and fished as such. Since then there have been many who guided and influenced me”.

“ Today I have fished, demonstrated, instructed and given talks all over the U.K. and Ireland and Norway ”.

“ If I give just one reason why this has happened it is because, quite simply, I have realized this is a PEOPLE THING. It has always been my main concern, whether with individuals or groups, to help everyone to relax, enjoy and feel they are part of this learning process. I call it working together. You cannot learn the techniques and timing of casting or the hooking and playing of fish if you are tense!!

Alan Brockhouse had a wonderful first ever day fly fishing on a lake in the Test Valley with Trevor Morgan.
He caught three trout - 2.5, 3.5 and 7.5 lbs. He is pictured here with the big one.
Each course is tailor-made to fit an individual's needs and abilities, and at a pace that suits them. Since he began coaching in 1998, Trevor has helped over two thousand people from ages eight to eighty-eight to improve their technique and enjoy their fishing all the more.
Just to prove that Trevor can still catch the odd trout - a fine 4.5lbs specimen from Powder Mill on the Dancing Damsel.

Whether you are learning the basics, or wish to brush up on your casting technique, Trevor will help you to improve your skills and knowledge. He offers instruction to groups or individuals at either a 13-acre lake tuition clinic adjacent to his home at Dagenham in Essex. He is equally happy to provide instruction at your own venue.
