Learning The Fly Fishers Watercraft

Learning to read what is happening above and below the surface of the water is crucial to successful fishing. Trevor teaches how to find the "holding places" on rivers (such as "heads and tails" of pools) and still waters, such as "wind lanes". Trevor teaches an understanding of basic entomology (life-cycle of hatching insects) and how to select the right flies to mimic the conditions in the water at the time.

For beginners, as part of watercraft, Trevor also teaches the essential knots you will need - there is nothing more frustrating than hooking a fish and then losing it because the knot broke!

Of course, fishing is a sport that lasts a lifetime, and skills will develop over many years. Trevor's approach to watercraft will help you to read the signs on the water more quickly and help you fish with confidence from the start.
